BNP leader's son held with petrol bombs |

[Dhaka Tribune] Police have arrested a BNP leader’s son after petrol bombs were found in a shop at Ekota Bazar under Muladi upazila of Barisal. The arrestee is Sumon Fakir, 29, son of Sultan Fakir, BNP president of Ward No 9 at Kazirchar union, in Ekota Bazaar area of the upazila. Officer-in-Charge of Muladi police station Md Alauddin said being informed about the supply of petrol-bombs to BNP leaders, police raided the shop of Sultan Fakir and recovered two petrol bombs around 9:30am on Tuesday. At the time, they detained him from the shop. Police sent him to a Barisal court after showing him arrest in a case under explosive acts, the OC said. The court sent him jail in the afternoon, Alauddin added. |
