| 3 Police Killed in Helmand Suicide Attack |

| [Tolo News] Three coppers were killed and five others maimed Tuesday as a result of a car suicide kaboom in southern Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... , local officials said. The incident happened in Lashkargah, the scenic provincial capital, after a jacket wallah detonated his explosives-laden car near a police vehicle, said Mohammad Ismail Hotak, deputy police chief for coordination at Helmand Police Headquarters. So far, no group including the Taliban has grabbed credit for the attack. This has been the second attack on police over the past 24 hours in southern zone after a number of gunnies attacked the police in Uruzgan province on Monday night, killing four coppers and injuring four others. |
