#12  Not exactly stolen valor, but about as close as you could get without having ever worn a set of fatigues.

I suspect Mr. Williams shall, soon enough, be announcing the 4-H, jam division, winners at a county fair.

#11  Why all the fuss? Dishonesty is one of the basic requirements for network news anchors.

#8  I have a friend who has managed to convert stories over the years into ones that make him the hero (in the sense of having the funny quip in the story, not an actual hero). Anyway by now i truly believe he believes his version of events.

So I guess what I'm saying is it is possible for Brian Williams to more or less have embraced and accepted his lies after so many retellings and now mostly believes them.

#3  Being shot at is one of those things like the proverbial hanging, it tends to sharply focus one's mind. Particulars stand out for a lifetime. There is no vague unless one's been render stupefied or unconscious by a hit.

#2  “I made a mistake in recalling the events of 12 years ago.”

WTF????? How the hell is this a mistake?????

This is flat out fiction claimed to be truth. He is a LIAR. I stopped believing everything a "reporter" said years ago; moving on to "anything" took a little longer.
