| AQIM claims killing of senior MNLA member |

| [MAGHAREBIA] Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) grabbed credit for the killing of a senior member of the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA). In a statement sent to Alakhbar on Thursday (February 5th), the group said that Baye Ag Hamdi was assassinated for collaborating with French forces in northern Mali. Ag Hamdi was killed on January 26th in an area west of Tessalit. |
