Report: 151 terror operatives killed during Egyptian operation in Sinai

[Ynet] Sources in the northern Sinai Peninsula reported Saturday that 151 terror operatives have been killed as a result of a three-day-long operation carried out by the Egyptian army, according to a report by the Al-Yawm al-Sab Arabic newspaper.

According to the report, 47 of the casualties are active members and considered senior terrorist members by the Egyptian security services. Twenty-two of them are Egyptian nationals and 25 are foreign citizens.
Half foreigners? Would that mean Gazans, or is "Al Qaeda in the Sinai" become the latest romantic jihadi destination, now that Iraq/Syria have become a good deal more dangerous for the jihad tourist than heretofore?

#2  I never saw anything in the canal that couldn't have withstood being hit by a two rocket salvo. The whole place was as desolate as Vieques. If they had hit one of the dead animals floating in the poor excuse for a sewer, everyone could have declared the operation a barbecue.
