| [IraqiNews.com] On Sunday, security forces backed volunteer fighters (known as al-Hashd al-Shaabi) managed to fully secure all surrounding areas of Baiji district. Iraqiya TV channel said in flash news followed by IraqiNews.com, "Volunteer fighters in cooperation with the leadership of Salahuddin Operations Command secured all surrounding areas of Baiji district ." A source in Salahuddin Operations Command said on Sunday morning that, five elements of the ISIS group have been killed in a security operation, which resulted in expelling the terrorist elements from three regions and liberating the Chinese Refinery in Baiji north of Tikrit. On Saturday, the governor of Salahuddin Raed al-Jubouri stated that the security forces, which carried out the operations of liberating Baiji from ISIS, gave reached the North Refineries. |
