| 2 killed as unknown gunmen attacked mosque in Nangarhar |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] Two persons were killed and another maimed after gunnies shot up them inside a mosque in eastern Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. Province. Ahmadzia Abdulzai, front man for the governor of Nanagarhar says that the incident took in Rodat District last night. He said unknown gunnies entered a mosque in Kabul Camp area of Rodat District and sprayed bullets on civilians who were in the mosque to offer the prayers. He added that two non-combatants were killed and another maimed in the attack. He further added that security officials have initiated an investigation into the incident. In recent years, several mosques have been targeted by murderous Moslems in different parts of Afghanistan. Beside Nangarhar, Paktika ...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... , Kunar and Farah are among parts of Afghanistan where mosques have been targeted by terrorists. Dozens of civilians have bit the dust or injured in these attacks. |
