Security forces control 75% of al-Baghdadi

[IraqiNews.com] The security assistant of Anbar governor Aziz Khalaf al-Tramoz announced that the security forces controlled more than 75% of Baghdadi, calling for the formation of a major operations room to save and help the people there.

Tramoz said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "Security forces of the Army and the police backed by tribal fighters now control more than 75% of Baghdadi (90 km west of Ramadi)," noting that, "Clashes between the ISIS gunnies and the security forces, that are progressing in the remaining parts of the district, are still ongoing."

"The police forces and tribal fighters, being the first repelling line confronting ISIS in Baghdadi, are in grave need of weaponry and ammunition," he added.

Tramoz demanded the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Commerce to form a major operations room to save Baghdadi's people, and to send food and humanitarian aid immediately."

ISIS kidnapps 28 policemen, executes 3 in Baghdadi

[IraqiNews.com] A security source in Anbar province announced Sunday, that the ISIS gunnies have kidnapped 28 members of the local police in Baghdadi district west of the province, and executed three of them by firing squad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "ISIS elements kidnapped 28 coppers in Baghdadi district (90 km west of Ramadi)," noting that, "Three of them, including a traffic officer, were executed by firing squad.

"ISIS dragged the rest of the kidnapped to its own headquarters in Hit district west of Ramadi," it added.

Anbar Provincial Council announced on Saturday (February 15, 2015) that the security forces, rustics and volunteer fighters regained control over al-Baghdadi west of Ramadi, except for some parts, while warned that the ISIS group is massing for new attacks.

Military reinforcements arrive in al-Baghdadi, Anbar

[IraqiNews.com] On Saturday, a security source in Anbar province stated, that massive military reinforcements arrived in the district of al-Baghdadi, noting that the festivities between the security forces and the ISIS group are still ongoing in the area.

The source informed IraqiNews, "Massive military reinforcements and a large number of Army troops have arrived today in the district of al-Baghdadi," pointing out that, "Police elements from the province of Anbar and army troops of the Eighth Brigade are still clashing with the ISIS group holy warriors in the area."
