| Iraqi airstrikes blast ISIS bases in north Fallujah |

The statement added that warplanes destroyed an ISIS arsenal for used for making ammunition and land mines, which the jihadists had used to deadly effect against the Iraqi army. The Iraqi army has been trying to drive ISIS gunnies out of the town of Fallujah for more than a year. Despite attacks with artillery and heavy weapons, the Iraqi forces have not advanced into the town. |
