Himreen district librated from ISIL terrorists

[IraqiNews.com] The security forces supported by the volunteers managed to liberate Himreen district totally on Tuesday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com "The joint forces completely controlled the district."

"Separately, the volunteers killed three snipers in al-Aiji village of northeastern Tikrit," the source concluded.

Security forces repel ISIS attack south of Baiji

[IraqiNews.com] A security source in Salahuddin province announced on Tuesday that the security forces were able to repel an ISIS attack and kill 5 of its elements south of Baiji.

The source informed IraqiNews, "In the late hours of last night, the security posts based in Hajaj areas and Jarish village south of Baiji (40 km north of Tikrit) were attacked by ISIS elements," noting that, "The security forces managed to repel the attack, killing five elements of the terrorist group and burning two of its vehicles."

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, "The Army Aviation has bombed some ISIS gatherings south of Baiji. The number of casualties remains unknown."
