[The News (Pak)] Three coppers were killed and as many injured on Tuesday in two separate attacks within a span of an hour in the metropolis.In the first attack, assailants riding a cycle of violence opened fire on a Police squad car parked near Gul PLaza on MA Jinnah road in Saddar. The indiscriminate firing also damaged vehicles parked near the squad car.
According to police officials, three coppers were maimed in the attack including an Additional Sub-Inspector (ASI).
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, where two of the injured shuffled off the mortal coil, the added.
SSP Saddar Town told the media that the armed cycle of violence riders fled away after the ambush. SSP South Tariq Dharejo confirmed the incident and the casualties.
In second incident, the attackers shot up a cycle of violence police-squad patrolling near Pakistain Chowk in the Arambagh area. One policeman was killed in the attack while another was injured.
