| N.Korea Threatens to Shoot Down Propaganda Balloons | |

North Korea on Saturday threatened to shoot down balloons carrying propaganda leaflets from activist groups in South Korea.
The North said the balloons, which also carry DVDs of the caper "The Interview" about an assassination attempt of leader Kim Jong-un as well as anti-communist leaflets, "deliberately [escalate] tension on the Korean Peninsula where the situation has reached the brink of war." The North warned any attempts to stop it from shooting down the balloons would lead to follow-up attacks and advised South Koreans living near the border areas to evacuate. | |
