[RFE/RL] An Australian woman who has joined with IS is using social media to encourage other women who want to follow in her footsteps.Umm Abdullatif, who has been identified as Zehra Dumann from Melbourne, told wannabe female IS recruits that the "lifestyle" for women in IS controlled lands is "amazing" and "something you need to see for yourself."
In another post she said the food in Syria is "yummy," but "the tap water makes you sick."
Women who asked Umm Abdullatif questions wanted to know whether Internet connections are good and whether "all the womanly supplies" are available ("yes, alhamdullilah [praise Allah]," she replied).
Other potential recruits were interested in marriage. One asked, "Can you look for a husband for me? Help me please."
"I am more than happy to, inshallah," Umm Abdullatif replied, asking the woman to contact her privately through a messenger service.Umm Abdullatif discloses that women cannot fight. Nor does IS currently allow women to carry out suicide operations, although she wishes they could. Umm Abdullatif reflected, "The day will maybe come soon that we could."
