| Haqqani Network Behind Khost Suicide Bombing: NDS |

(NDS) has announced that the deadly suicide kaboom in eastern Khost province ... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name... was carried out by the Haqqani Network. NDS--the Afghan intelligence agency--said in a statement on Sunday that Shah Ghulam, who went kaboom!in the middle of protests in Khost, was directed by the network's commander Sirajuddin Haqqani to carry out the bombing. At least 20 people were killed and more than 60 others maimed when the jacket wallah detonated his explosives during the protest against the acting governor of Khost, accusing him of corruption and land usurpation. MP Hamayoun Hamayoun, head of Parliamentary defense committee, was also injured in the attack. |
