...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group (IS/ISIS), the Kurdish forces of the People's Protection Units (YPG) announced Monday their control of the village of Annabiya Sudan near the town of Tel Temir in Hasakah province, northeastern Syria.

The YPG's Media Center issued a statement, saying: "Our units (YPG) carried out Sunday evening a strategic operation against the terrorist groups near the village of al-Manajir in the vicinity of the town of Tel Temir, targeting IS locations in the village of Annabiya Sudan (7 km south-west of al-Manajir)."

"The operation resulted in the liberation of the village (Annabiya Sudan) and heavy losses in the terrorists' ranks," the statement added.

"The number of dead and maimed among the IS terrorist group is unknown because the YPG forces have not been able to collect all the group's dead and injured," the YPG's leadership said.

A YPG fighter told ARA News that the IS group launched Monday an attack on the village of Mashko in the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) but it was repelled by the YPG fighters.

"Then fierce festivities broke out and lasted for hours, resulting in the death of three IS murderous Moslems as well as the seizure of an armored vehicle, two weapons (Kalashnikov), and an RPG with some ammunition," he said.

During the recent festivities in Hasakah province, at least five YPG fighters bit the dust, according to the Kurdish forces' leadership.
