Daesh Activity Caught On Camera in Afghanistan
2015-04-08
[Tolo News] A CNN cameraman has captured video footage of Daesh members parading at a military training camp south of Kabul -- the first such activity to be shot in Afghanistan.

The footage shows a number of gunnies in military clothes with masked faces.

The gunnies told CNN that they have taken up arms in favor of Daesh. "Our friends in Helmand

province told us to align ourselves with Daesh," said one Lion of Islam on camera.

Meanwhile,

the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) Lion of Islam group, in northern Afghanistan, also recently declared their allegiance to Daesh and released a video of the beheading of an Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier. This was allegedly in retaliation of the detention of a number of female IMU supporters by the Afghan cops in northern Faryab.

Before being killed, the soldier introduced himself and confirmed he was a resident of the Andarab district in northern Baghlan province.

The IMU in northern Afghanistan warned in the videotape they will behead the other 31 soldiers they have captive.

At the time a number of parliament representatives expressed concern

s over Daesh activities in Afghanistan.

The Death Eaters said in the videotape they receive commands via satellite from Iraq and Syria.

The Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI) meanwhile sees the alleged presence of Daesh in Afghanistan as mere propaganda.

"The Daesh presence is not so strong and we believe that Daesh will not be able to reach their objectives easily in the country," said Siddiq Siddiqi, front man for the MoI.

One of U.S military officials in Afghanistan said that Daesh's local recruitment capacity was limited and that its numbers in Afghanistan were very few.

The National Directorate of Security

the NDS strongly rejected rumors as baseless that the decapitated man had been one of 31 bus passengers kidnapped on February 24 from southern Zabul province.
