Barzani assures to Abadi putting all Kurdish region’s capacities at federal government disposal

assured on Monday, that all the region's capacities will be put at the disposal of the federal government.

Barzani said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, "The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi 's visit to Kurdistan comes at a time when coordination is needed as Iraq is exposed to ISIS fiercest terrorist attacks."

"We are fully prepared and we will put all the region's capacities at the disposal of the federal government," Barzani added.

It is noteworthy that Abadi and Barzani confirmed on Saturday (April 4, 2015), the continuous coordination and cooperation between the Iraqi forces and the Kurdish Peshmerga in fighting the ISIS group.

30 Yazidi abductees freed from ISIS’ grip

[IraqiNews.com] Yazidi Affairs office in Dohuk announced on Tuesday, the liberation of 30 Yazidi abductees from the grip of the ISIS group, noting that they had arrived in Mount Sinjar.

The office's official Hussein Qaúadi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "About 30 Yazidi abductees were freed from the ISIS group's grip. They were detained in the province of Nineveh."

Qaúadi added, "The kidnapped arrived in Mount Sinjar and will be transferred to Dohuk," pointing out that, "The liberation operation was conducted with the help of some good people."

International coalition will support Iraq in liberating Nineveh, says Pentagon

[IraqiNews.com] US Department of Defense Pentagon renewed the international coalition's support for any ground operation by the Iraqi forces to liberate Nineveh province from the terrorist organization ISIS, while pointed out that the operation to liberate Tikrit is a successful example of military cooperation between Washington and Baghdad.

Warren said in an interview with 'Al- Hura', "The liberation of Tikrit is a successful example of military cooperation between Washington and Baghdad," confirming his conviction about ISIS defeat that will not be fast; it might take months and maybe years.

Warren added, "Eliminating ISIS in Iraq requires, in addition to the military approach, the adoption of political reconciliation and the establishment of a national unity to overcome sectarianism."

"The situation in Iraq is very complicated because of the tensions imposed by sectarian conflict over power," he continued.

3 wounded by Katyusha rockets north of Baghdad

[IraqiNews.com] A source in the Iraqi police announced Tuesday, that three civilians were maimed in an attack by two Katyusha rockets north of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "The two Katyusha rockets landed this morning in Sabaa al-Bour area north of the capital Baghdad, injuring three civilians and causing material damage to a building."

The source, who requested anonymity, added, "The security force cordoned off the scene, while ambulances transfered the maimed to the nearest hospital for treatment.”

Bomb blast wounds 1 officer, 2 soldiers in southern Baghdad

[IraqiNews.com] On Monday, a source within the police force said, that an army officer and three soldiers have been injured in a bomb kaboom in southern Baghdad.

The source informed IraqiNews, "Today, a bomb that was emplaced on the roadside in al-Rashid area has went off targeting an army force during a dawn raid in the area," noting that, "The kaboom resulted in wounding an officer and three soldiers in the force."

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, "A security force cordoned the area of the kaboom and transferred the injured to a near hospital for medical treatment, while an investigation has been opened into the incident.”
