Joint forces destroy ISIS rank in western Ramadi

[IraqiNews.com] On Tuesday, a security source in Anbar province said, that a joint force destroyed an ISIS rank and killed a number of ISIS forces of Evil in western Ramadi.

The source told IraqiNews, "This afternoon, a joint force, consisting of the local police elements and federal units backed by the army's air force, has managed to repel an ISIS attack from 3 axes on the police headquarters in the area of al-Sabin-Kilo, located in western Ramadi," noting that, "The joint force attacked the group's ranks and killed a number of ISIS forces of Evil and destroyed 5 vehicles for them."

Security forces impose curfew in Ramadi

The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, "A comprehensive curfew has been imposed in the city of Ramadi, in coordination with a military operation that began to liberate the area of al-Sajariya, located in east of Ramadi." pointing out that, "A large number of army troop reinforcements have arrived in Ramadi."

"The security operation has begun from the eastern, western and southern directions of al-Sajariya area," the source added.

Military operation began to liberate Anbar, says Anbar Council

[IraqiNews.com] On Wednesday, Anbar Provincial Council announced, that an extensive military operation has begun to liberate the cities and areas of Anbar province from the ISIS group myrmidons.

The president of the provincial council, Sabah Karhoot, stated to IraqiNews.com, "Today, Iraqi joint forces have carried out a military operation to liberate all the cities and areas of al-Anbar province," pointing out that, "Joint forces, consisting of army troops, local and federal police elements and the anti-terrorism units, with support from the international coalition warplanes and the Iraqi Air Force, have participated in the operation, along with 10,000 tribal fighters from the clans."
