USAF MG reprimanded over A-10 'treason' remark |
2015-04-10 |
(Reuters) - Air Force MG James Post III has been formally reprimanded and removed from his job for telling a group of officers that talking to Congress in a bid to block retirement of the A-10 Warthog amounted to "treason," the Air Force said on Friday. In his own written account, Post said he told the group in question the Air Force didn't want to get rid of the plane but needed to because of budget constraints. He acknowledged using the word "treason." Attempting to prevent members of the military from lawfully communicating with Congress is a violation of the U.S. Code as well as Defense Department directives. |

#3 Small victory for sanity. Sadly, MGEN Post got thumped for getting caught, not for what he did. Mike |

#2 A MG can retire with good pay. Number of GOs in WWII and men under arms? Number of GOs today and men under arms? |
