The name ban isn't the only change that has hit the Muslim community, however. Tajikistan's government has outlawed beards and hijabs, as well as closing independent mosques. Mosques that are permitted by the parliament are ordered to praise the secular government in place of backwards Sharia law, The Guardian reports."
