The dark side of meditation and mindfulness: Treatment can trigger mania, depression and psychosis, new book claims
2015-05-24
[DAILYMAIL.CO.UK]
  • Theory is that techniques help relieve stress and live for the moment
  • But 60% of us have apparently suffered at least one negative side effect
  • Experts: Shortage of rigorous statistical studies into the negative effects of meditation is a 'scandal'

Is exactly right. Sitting there thinking when you could be moving about exercising is the main way to fuck your mental health up.

#3  I find a day at the range is very relaxing and stress relieving. My wife does as well. Venting your frustrations on those horrible and evil steel plates with a pistol is very liberating and good for a healthy mind. And when your done and you refresh the paint on the plates, it's like you weren't even there for the next person.

#2  They put me thru that Mindfulness crap when I was in rehab-made even more pissed off at my Wife. Fortunately, I got over it, am sober and still married to her 35 years now

#1  Since becoming married, my "mindfulness" has become the responsibility of someone else. Does that count?
