| Suicide Car Bomber Kills Six in Helmand |

| [Tolo News] Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... police chief Nabi Jan Mullah Khail on Thursday said three people died in a suicide boom-mobileing at a police checkpoint in Lashkargah city. According to Khail, the jacket wallah detonated his explosives after being stopped at a police checkpoint while trying to enter the city. Khail said the kaboom killed one Afghan national police officer and two civilians. The blast left two more ANP officers and one civilian maimed. However doctors at Lashkargah emergency hospital said that so far three dead civilians and three dead ANP officers had been transferred to the hospital including three ANP and two civilians maimed in the blast. The attack happened just hours after the new provincial governor Mirza Khan Rahimi was sworn in to office. |
