Southern Front launches new battle in Quneitra |

The southern region near the border with Jordan and Israel is one of the areas where hard boyz have inflicted significant defeats on Bashir al-Assad in the last three months, notably by capturing the Nasib border crossing with Jordan on April 1. In relevant development, ten rebel groups active in the western countryside of Damascus have merged in new alliance, seeking to capture a territory links between Daraa, Quneitra and the capital, activists said. Hermon Army also announced in statement issued Tuesday that the newly rebel group has taken control of Telal al-Homr area (the Red Hills) and a strategic supply route links between Hermon Mont and liberated countryside of Daraa. The statement called on Druze villagers live in Hermon Mount to not involved in fighting against rebels, assuring the historic brotherhood ties. |
