| #6 The Second Amendment came right after the issue of freedom of speech and religion because the framers were very clear about keeping government in check. By being able to openly criticize it, practice the faith that was independent of it, and owning the means to keep government in check if it becomes oppressive. O'Malley is one of those people for whom the latter was intended, giving citizens the means to literally resist any government power he tried to exercise that was tyrannical. And this emotional BS is cover for his wish to take those means away. Time for a Charlton Heston Moment. |
