| Afghan youth killed for honour in Peshawar |

| [DAWN] An Afghan youth was killed near Bagh Banan Bazaar in the limits of Urmar cop shoppe on Wednesday in an honour related case, sources said. Munir Khan, an Afghan national, presently living in Bagh Banan, told police that his 22-year-old brother Raheel Khan was going to Bazaar when a group of armed person attacked him, leaving him injured. He was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. Another young man Abuzar also sustained bullet injury and was taken to LRH. He was stated to be stable. A police source said that it was an honour related case as one of the suspects had doubt that the victim had illicit relations with his wife. The suspects managed to escape. Police said that after authentic reports form Nadra and due verification by special branch, the persons involved in the process of making fake CNICs were being booked under the relevant laws. |
