[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Tens of displaced families from ancient city of Palmyra have arrived Gaziantep, Turkish border city, fleeing ISIS-captured city and to escape daily barrel bombs attacks by Syrian regime, sources told Zaman al-Wasl Monday. People who managed to escape Palmyra reported that Syrian regime had handed the city to ISIS last month without fighting. Other sources mentioned that regime had left huge storage of arms and ISIS seized them, while in other areas, regime used to transfer all arms in advance from any area it withdrew from, or destroy them in that was not possible. The Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... had completely seized Palmyra in Homs countryside, while the regime mentioned that it had withdrew from the city after securing safe escape to most civilians. |
