The official at the Sindh home department said that the provincial administration on the advice of police authorities banned pillion-riding under Section 144 (power to issue order absolute at once in urgent cases of nuisance or apprehended danger) of the criminal procedure code and the ban would be effective from Wednesday midnight for two days -- July 8 and 9.
