| Unknown Gunmen Shot ex-Taliban Shadow Governor Dead at Samangan Mosque |

| [Tolo News] Unknown gunnies shot a prayer leader, who was a former Taliban shadow governor, dead at a Mosque in northern Samangan province on Monday night, local officials said. The incident took place in Lababi village, Dar-e-Sof district, when unidentified motorcyclists shot up Mawlawi Mohammad Isreeal, a front man for Provincial Governor, Mohammad Sediq Azizi said. "Mawlawi Mohammad Isreeal was a former shadow governor of the Taliban before he was separated from the group" Azizi added. According to Azizi, Taliban had several times demanded the prayer leader to rejoin the group but he denied. No one has been locked away Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit! in this connection, he added. So far, no group including the Taliban has grabbed credit for the shooting. |
