Little Sisters of the Poor lose Birth Control court case.
2015-07-15
BLUF: [Huffpoo] "After losing repeatedly at the Supreme Court, the government continues its unrelenting pursuit of the Little Sisters of the Poor," Rienzi said. "It is a national embarrassment that the world's most powerful government insists that, instead of providing contraceptives through its own existing exchanges and programs, it must crush the Little Sisters' faith and force them to participate. Untold millions of people have managed to get contraceptives without involving nuns, and there is no reason the government cannot run its programs without hijacking the Little Sisters and their health plan."
"Die Religion ist das Opium des Volkes" Religious orders and faith-based zealots must stay out of giverment business, or be crushed.

#5  A double negative. In addition to their obvious concern for the unborn, Little Sisters are committed to the care of the elderly. Demand for the harvesting of elderly body parts is very low.

#3  Air, I believe those are social Catholics and Jews, not religious ones. Rituals vs content.

Ed, I'm pretty sure Ginsburg would say so.

#2  Evidently the new interpretation of 'freedom of religion' is freedom from religion.

#1  I believe a majority of voting Catholics and Jews voted for Obama in both elections. Maybe next time they will choose more wisely; but I doubt it.
