New York Times alters Clinton email story |
2015-07-25 |
![]() [POLITICO] The New York Times ...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... made small but significant changes to an exclusive report about a potential criminal investigation into ![]() ... sometimes described as For a good time at 3 a.m. call Hillaryand at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another John C. Calhoun... 's State Department email account late Thursday night, but provided no notification of or explanation for of the changes. The paper initially reported that two inspectors general have asked the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation "into whether Hillary Rodham Clinton ... sometimes described as The Heroine of Tuzlaand at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Edward Livingstone... mishandled sensitive government information on a private email account she used as secretary of state." That clause, which cast Clinton as the target of the potential criminal probe, was later changed: the inspectors general now were asking for an inquiry "into whether sensitive government information was mishandled in connection with the personal email account Hillary Rodham Clinton used as secretary of state." The Times also changed the headline of the story, from "Criminal Inquiry Sought in Hillary Clinton's Use of Email" to "Criminal Inquiry Is Sought in Clinton Email Account," reflecting a similar recasting of Clinton's possible role. The article's URL was also changed to reflect the new headline. |

#11 I dunno about Izvestia, I always thought Pravda's propaganda was more sophisticated and higher thinking. I used to read both for a good laugh once in a while. I quit laughing when they mentioned a black op in Africa that I was involved in...still don't know who spilt the beans on it. We didn't even tell the locals we were there nor the Brits |

#9 Well I'm with Boeseker on this one, I bet Bill is good around the campfire with a beer or two under his belt. However, I would turn on the alarm on my house and sit on my wallet while I was drinking with him...not to mention locking up the women and children. |

#6 With you Mr. B, would enjoy splitting a case with Bill at a BBQ, would say the same about Hugo Chavez, except him being dead and all. |

#3 While he amassed a great deal of wealth and power, a virtual kingdom of underworld connections and lieutenants, income tax evasion and syphilis eventually took Alphonso Capone down. If you're smart, you'll mind the small details. She doesn't appear to be either smart or mindful of details. Anyone besides me note how little we're hearing from her spouse these days? I suspect he has a sense of what lies ahead. |
