Family promoting prostitution stopped by police in Kunduz |

The local security officials confirmed that a family was stopped to continue with their illegitimate activities and the suspects were arrested by police. Provincial police front man Syed Sarwar Hussaini said the family was suspected of superstitious practices and was inviting women to their home where they were encouraged to take part in illegitimate activities -- prostitution. He said the illegitimate activities by the family was discovered after a man was looking to eliminate the family through food poisoning or using explosives but was stopped by the police. According to Hussaini, the man was identified as Din Mohammad who was visiting the family for superstitious practices and found regarding the family's involvement in promoting prostitution as well. Hussaini also added that further investigations have been launched by the police to ascertain facts regarding the case. This is not the first time illegitimate activities have been uncovered in northern Kunduz province but numerous incidents have taken place in the past where the women and girls have been murdered for taking part in such activities. However, there's more than one way to skin a cat... the families and individuals continue to their activities despite urban patrols by police to restrict such activities and maintain order. |
