[Libya Herald] A car driven by a jacket wallah is reportedly have went kaboom!in Derna this evening killing eight guards attached to the Shora Council of Mujahideen in Derna (SCMD) and maimed 14 others.
The vehicle is said to have blown up at a checkpoint in Derna's Shahel Shargia ("east coast") district manned by a youth contingent attached to the SCMD, according to mujahideen sources in Derna. One of the dead was the commander.
There has been no independent corroboration of the attack so far.
It follows claims of advances by the mujahideen during the day against Islamic State
