Kilany also confessed to taking part in assaults against the Army in Tripoli, the statement added.
When abroad, Kilany was ordered by Mawlawi and suspected bad boy Bilal Badr to recruit young suicide bombers. He admitted to recruiting three Lebanese nationals to carry out attacks.
Those three, who are also in jug, told interrogators they were involved in plots to attack Army and Internal Security Forces positions.
