| Two killed, two injured in Narathiwat ambush |

| [Bangkok Post] A villager and a suspected militant were killed and two villagers injured when shooting broke out in Narathiwat province. The incident occurred Monday evening on a road in Si Sakhon district when three family members were returning home on two motorcycles after going hunting. Driving into their village, they were ambushed by a group of attackers hiding along the roadside, who fired at them with military-grade weapons. One of the villagers was shot and killed on the spot. The two others were injured, but managed to return fire with shotguns. One of the attackers was killed in the ensuing gunfight, while the others fled. |
