Officials said that a joint team of police and Rangers conducted a targeted raid on a hideout of suspected holy warriors in Khairabad.

Two of the dead were later identified as Kamal and Hazrat, said the Manghopir SHO.

They both were residents of Sultanabad near the PIDC. They belonged to the banned TTP, added the officer.

Manghopir SHO Ghulam Hussain Korai said that the joint operation was carried out on a tip-off provided by an intelligence agency.

He added that they had reports about the presence of members of the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi
