[Iran Press TV] Afghan cops have killed nearly 120 Talibs and maimed dozens of others during clean-up operations across the war-torn country over the past 48 hours, Press TV reports.

The Afghan Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that at least 118 Talibs were killed and 62 others injured in a series of large-scale security operations carried out in a number of provinces, including Nangarhar

, Laghman, Faryab and Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
, as well as Khak-e-Jabar and Sorubi districts of the capital, Kabul

Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
Afghan cops also managed to detain at least four Talibs during the raids, it added.

The statement noted that at least 14 soldiers of Afghan army have also bit the dust in a series of bully boy attacks and landmine kabooms over the past two days.
