| [Tolo News] A senior government official on Tuesday confirmed that the Taliban's shadow governor for Faryab province has been detained by the National Directorate of Security ...the Afghan national intel agency... (NDS). The Taliban capo, Qari Sallahuddin Ayoubi, was taken into custody while traveling on the Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... -Shindand road. He was apparently en-route to Quetta in Pakistain. According to the source, Ayoubi was responsible for Death Eater battles in Badghis, Faryab, Sar-e-Pol and Jawzjan province. |
