| Iraqi army destroys tunnel used by ISIS militants south of Fallujah [IraqiNews.com] al-Anbar -- A source within the Rapid Intervention Forces said Monday, that the army forces had managed to destroy a vital tunnel for the ISIS Lions of Islam south of Fallujah. The source informed IraqiNews.com, "A force belonging to the army, with coordination with the army's air force, managed to destroy a tunnel for the ISIS starting from the industrial area south of Fallujah and ending on the outskirts of al-Hayakel area south of the district." The source, who requested anonymity, added, "The ISIS organization had begun digging the tunnel several weeks ago," noting that, "The length of the tunnel is nearly 2500 meters." 15 ISIS vehicles destroyed in aerial strike east of Ramadi [IraqiNews] The President of Khalidiya Council in Anbar province, Ali Dawood, announced on Monday the destruction of a convoy consisting of 15 ISIS vehicles and the killing of its occupants in an aerial strike east of Ramadi. Dawood said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "The international coalition warplanes, in coordination with the army, bombed a convoy belonging to ISIS as it passed in Albu shihab in Khalidiya Island (23 km east of Ramadi), resulting in the destruction of 15 ISIS vehicles and killing its occupants." |
