In regards to the liquidation of Burhanuddin Rabbani, Karzai said those who were against peace and stability in Afghanistan planned and carried out the attack on Rabbani.
According to Karzai, a grant meeting (Loya Jirga) was due to be organized on grinding of the peace processor in Afghanistan before Rabbani was assassinated.
He insisted that the attack was carried out to sabotage grinding of the peace processor and destabilize the country.
Rabbani was assassinated by a jacket wallah who had disguised himself as a peace messenger, representing the Taliban group.
