[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Talibs have warned 100s of villagers in Ghazni's Deh Yak District to empty their homes as soon as possible. Rabat Sangi villagers say that Taliban have also blocked routes leading to their village which has resulted in serious problems for them. Mohammad Ali Ahmadi, the deputy governor of Ghazni province confirms the warning. He said that Taliban had early warned Rabat Sangi residents to remove the security post of Afghan Local Police (ALP) from their area. He added when the demand was not met then Taliban distribute night letters in the area warning its residents to leave. According to Ahmadi, Taliban have furnished landmines on one route leading to Rabat Sangi from Ghazni city but said that there is another route that is still being used by residents of the area. The Deputy Governor said that security forces are with Rabat Sangi villagers and the main route to the area would be cleared of landmines in coming few days. |
