| At least 13 killed, 44 injured in twin bomb attack in Baghdad |

[DAWN] BAGHDAD: At least 13 people were killed and 44 others injured when multiple bombs went kaboom!in two areas of Baghdad, the Iraqi capital, on Monday, security and medical officials said. A boom-mobile detonated near a market in the Ameen area of eastern Baghdad, and a roadside kaboom went kaboom!near a restaurant in Shaab in the north of the city. The two attacks maimed at least 44 people, the officials said. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but bombings in Baghdad are often carried out by the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (IS) group, which overran swathes of Iraq in June last year. Bombings in Baghdad are much less frequent than they were before the 2014 offensive, probably because the turbans are occupied with operations elsewhere. |
