| 53 ISIS elements killed in aerial bombardment in Nineveh [Iraqinews.com] A source in Nineveh Operations Command announced on Monday, that 53 ISIS elements had been killed in an aerial bombardment by the international coalition in the province. The source said in an interview for Iraqinews.com, "The international coalition carried out several air strikes against ISIS sites near Sheikh Khans village near Sinjar, resulting in the death of 48 elements of the organization." Sharqat battle needs time to avoid losses, says Defense Minister [IraqiNews.com] Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi announced on Monday, that the security forces achieved great victories in the cleansing battles of Anbar and Salahuddin, pointed out that those forces are close to the completion of the liberalization operations of Anbar. Obeidi said in a presser in Al-Muthanna airport in central Baghdad attended by IraqiNews.com, "our forces achieved great victories in the provinces of Anbar and Salah al-Din," pointing out that "the security forces are very close to the completion of the cleansing operations of Anbar province and moving to Nineveh province to liberate it as soon as possible.
