| 4 wounded in mortar attack in Diyali province |

| (IraqiNews.com) Diyali – According to a local source in Diyali province, four civilians, including a child, had been wounded in a mortar shell fall in northeast of Baqubah. The source informed IraqiNews.com, “Five mortar shells landed in the area surrounding the house of the tribal leader in the village of Abu Saida (northeast of Baqubah), injuring four civilians, including a child, in addition to causing material damage to the residential houses.” The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “The shelling could have resulted in a massacre if one mortar landed in the center of the house, which was crowded with dozens of visitors and guests from different tribes.” |
