Anbar Police announces liberating 7th Kilometer area west of Ramadi

Anbar Police Chief Maj. Gen. Hadi Rseg announced on Tuesday the liberation of the 7th Kilometer area west of Ramadi, while also pointed out that the deaths of ISIS amounted to nearly 100 dead during the military operations.

Rseg said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The anti-terrorism forces and a force from the 16th brigade of the Iraqi army conducted, this morning, an extensive security operation in Anbar, resulting in the liberation of the area of the 7th Kilometer west of Ramadi,” adding that, “The operation also resulted in the deaths of nearly 100 ISIS elements and the destruction of a number of vehicles for the organization.”

40 ISIS elements killed in the cleansing battles of Ramadi

A source in the Golden Division in Anbar province announced on Wednesday, that 40 ISIS elements had been killed in the cleansing battles north and south of the city of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad).

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com “the security forces of the army and the police as well as the Golden Division had carried out, today, an extensive military operation in Albu Faraj area and the areas of al- Tameem and Makhazin south of Ramadi, resulting in the death of 40 elements of the organization (ISIS).”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “The security forces have advanced in the northern and southern axes of Ramadi City.”

Security forces raise Iraqi flag over Jiraishi Bridge, cut ISIS supplies to Ramadi

A source in the Joint Special Operations Command announced on Wednesday, that the security forces gained control of Jiraishi Bridge north of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad), while pointed out to raising the Iraqi flag over the bridge.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “the security forces of Anbar Operations Command managed, this afternoon, to control Jiraishi Bridge north of the city,” noting that “the security forces had raised the Iraqi flag over the bridge.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “the control of the security forces over the bridge has cut off ISIS supply routes to the center of the city of Ramadi.”
