| Four ‘militants’ killed in Mashkay |

| QUETTA: Four suspected militants were killed during a search operation which was carried out after a security man lost his life in a roadside explosion in Mashkay tehsil of Awaran district on Thursday. Official sources said that a convoy of security personnel was passing through the area when the roadside bomb was detonated by remote control. They said that security personnel started combing the area for suspects involved in the blast during which they were fired upon from a house. In retaliatory firing, they added, four attackers were killed. The identity of the dead could not be ascertained immediately. |
