| Iraqi Army prepares for attack in Salahuddin |

| (IraqiNews.com) Salah AL-Dien – A security source in Salahuddin province announced on Monday the arrival of large military reinforcements in Baiji in preparation for storming Sharqat District in the province. The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Large military reinforcements arrived, this evening, in Baiji in preparation for storming the last stronghold of the ISIS in the district of Sharqat (65 km north of Salah al-Din),” noting that, “The reinforcements included heavy weapons and equipment used for the first time.” The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “ISIS deployed its elements and requested reinforcements from Nineveh for the purpose of repelling any attack on the organization.” |
