Bangkok Post] Seven Thai soldiers were slightly wounded by a bomb blast in Narathiwat province on Wednesday. Rueso district police chief Ruangsak Buadaeng said the attack occurred shortly after midnight when 16 soldiers from an infantry company were returning to their base.The soldiers had been dispatched to a local village after receiving information militants were hiding there after hurling a hand grenade at a traffic police checkpoint in Rueso district on Monday. They found no sign of insurgents in the village. Shortly after leaving the village on two pickup trucks the bomb explosion hit the first vehicle and wounded the troops.
