| Two grenades lobbed at FC camp in Khyber |

| [DAWN] LANDI KOTAL: Unidentified men lobbed two hand grenades at the Frontier Corps ...a provincial paramilitary force. Total manpower is about 80,000. They are tasked to help local law enforcement in the maintenance of law and order, and to carry out border patrol and anti-smuggling operations.... camp here on Thursday morning, but there was no damage as the devices went kaboom!in open area. Security officials said that the attack was carried out from the Shalman gate side of the camp at around 5:00am. They said that two hand grenades landed at an empty compound inside the camp and thus no damage was caused. Security forces immediately cordoned the area and also conducted a search operation in the nearby localities. However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... it could not be ascertained if any arrests were made in the search operation. The attack was second of its type on the FC camp in last two weeks. The previous attack also had not caused any damage to the buildings.
