| #5 All I know, that in the early 90s when I was infantry that after eating nothing but MREs for a week I sure as heck didn't shit during that time. Then, 1 1/2-2 weeks later, you didn't dig a hole. You dug a trench and waddled forward as you shat. |

| #1 Compared to the beef stew C-Rat, MREs are culinary masterpieces. I still remember cold mornings putting the partially opened can on the 1/4 ton exhaust manifold to melt the white congealed fatty topping. |
