| Manhunt underway for 3 California jail runaways |

| [Iran Press TV] A massive manhunt to detain an accused murderer and two other Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, prisoners who broke out on Friday has entered its third day. Hossein Nayeri, 37, Jonathan Tieu, 20, and Bac Duong, 43, beat feet from the Orange County jail and were last spotted early Friday morning, Sheriff Sandra Hutchens said in a statement Sunday, Rooters reported. "The three escapees ... are dangerous criminals," she warned. To make their way out, the trio designed a master plan to cut through steel bars, climb through a plumbing tunnel and then lower themselves down four stories using bed sheets, according to the Orange County Register. Authorities said they had yet to ascertain whether the prisoners had any outside help in making their escape, the newspaper said. "All indications are that the inmates escaped the jail and have fled the area," the sheriff's department said in a Friday statement. Nayeri is accused of kidnapping and torturing a marijuana dispensary owner with three other accomplices, the Register said. Prior to the escape, he was being held in the jail without bail since September 2014. Tieu were tossed into the calaboose at the facility since October 2013, charged with a gang-related murder. Duong is charged with attempted murder and was being held at the jail without bail since last month. |
